Privacy Policy

This notice explains what personal data this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It describes only the processing that actually takes place on poleszabel.hu.

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

When you submit a prediction, the following data is collected:

  • nickname (your choice; it does not have to be your real name) — may be shown publicly on the latest-prediction card
  • email address — never shown publicly; only the controller can access it
  • Instagram username (optional) — currently not displayed anywhere publicly
  • the checkpoint you picked and the time of your prediction
  • your chosen language (Hungarian or English)

3. Purposes and legal bases

Nickname, chosen checkpoint, timestamp: to let you take part in the prediction game — performance of a service you requested.

Email address: to prevent duplicate entries and to identify you if you contact us — legitimate interest. If it is also used to notify a winner, this is stated clearly on the prediction form.

Instagram username: provided voluntarily by you.

Admin sign-in and security logs: legitimate interest in operating the site securely.

4. Who can access the data

Full prediction records are accessible only to the controller and appointed editors, after signing in and passing a server-side role check.

Public statistics show aggregate counts only, plus the nickname of the most recent prediction. Email addresses and Instagram usernames are never exposed on any public page or endpoint.

5. Processors

The following services are used to run this website:

  • hosting, database, authentication and image storage: Lovable Cloud (built on Supabase)
  • map tiles: CartoDB / OpenStreetMap — loaded directly by your browser
  • web fonts: Google Fonts — loaded directly by your browser
  • weather data: Open-Meteo — called server-side only; your browser never contacts it

6. International transfers

Hosting region: Cloudflare global edge network. Map tile and font providers operate global networks, so your IP address may reach them when loading those resources.

7. Retention

Prediction records (nickname, email, Instagram, checkpoint): 12 months

Admin accounts: for as long as the person is involved in the project.

Server and error logs: according to the provider's default retention.

8. Cookies and browser storage

This website uses no analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. Only strictly necessary browser storage is used:

  • rto-lang-v1 — remembers your chosen language
  • rto-prediction-v2 — remembers that you already predicted from this browser
  • sign-in session — only after an administrator logs in

9. Your rights

You may request access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing, object to processing, and receive your data in a portable format.

Write to info@nc-visio.com. We respond within 30 days at the latest. To delete your prediction, your email address is enough to locate it.

You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9-11., naih.hu) or go to court.

10. Security

The predictions table is not publicly readable. Submissions go exclusively through a validated server-side endpoint, and public statistics are served by a separate function that returns aggregates only. The admin area requires sign-in plus a server-side role check. Uploaded images live in private storage and are served through signed links.

We update this notice when needed. The date of the latest change is shown at the top of the page.
